About “Joakem”

Joakem is a progressive metal band from Cyprus, blending atmospheric depth and cinematic dynamics with gripping melodies, expressive heaviness and rhythmic complexity. Since the release of their debut album *Mind Matter*, Joakem has evolved into a full live band, establishing a growing presence on stages across Cyprus and internationally. In 2026, the band returned with “Origins” and “Creature of the Abyss”, opening a new chapter defined by a heavier, more refined and increasingly ambitious sound. After making their Bloodstock Open Air debut, Joakem is now building toward the release of their second full-length album, with new music on the way and plans for UK and European touring as the band’s next era takes shape.
